It was another successful year for Lisburn who followed up their NCU T20 Cup win with All-Ireland success in one of the most exciting games of the year, beating Leinster in a Super Over.

Faiz Fazal was their hero in that dramatic finale and the ever-consistent Indian professional racked up an imoressive 1168 runs at 55.62 with 10 half centuries and 1 hundred.

Nigel Jones didn't appear to have the most prolific of campaigns but in his own quiet unassuming way still managed 666 - the number of the beast - at 30.27 with six fifties.

Skipper Neil Whitworth chalked up 585 at 27.86 (4 x 50's), while Jonathan Waite hit 27 sixes and 59 fours on his way to 536 runs at 28.21 and a strike rate of 107.85.

James Hunter (400 at 23.53 - 3 x 50) and David Miller (315 at 15) also had impressive strike rates approaching 100.

The international duo of Matthew Humphreys and Mark Adair were others who made half centuries.

The bowling unit did really well with the quintet all topping 20 wickets. Josh Manley (38), Matthew Humphreys (37), and Ryan Macbeth (37) finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the overall NCU bowling aggregates behind Aditya Adey.

Neil Whitworth and Adam Kennedy completed the f'amous five' and when you think that Mark Adair and Nigel Jones hardly bowled the Wallace Park side have an embarrassment of riches.

They have also began their strengthening process for 2025, with the high profile signing of Ross Adair, but given his exploits last week against South Africa, his availability might be severely limited due to international commitments.

Still, Lisburn have shown they have enough quality and depth in their ranks to cope, and who would bet against them picking up another trophy or two along the way.
