Cliftonville Academy has confirmed that John Glass is joining the club from Ballymena for the 2025 season.
The talented Glass came to prominence in 2021 when his last over heroics saw him hit 6 sixes to give Balllymena the T20 Trophy with victory over Cregagh.

"The club are delighted to announce the signing of John Glass from Ballymena," said club spokesperson Matty McCord.
"This is a very satisfying signing as he is a player we have pursued for a number of years, and with many of our 1st XI having played with and against him and various stages we are well aware of the talent he possesses and know that talent belongs at the Premier League level.
"John will bolster our bowling attack and strengthen our middle order batting, as well as being an electric fielder he will be a great addition to the 1st XI Squad.
"John had a number of Premier League options for this season, and we are just delighted he has chosen to play his cricket for Cliftonville Academy for the coming season."
Glass was delighted to be switching to a Premiership club saying:
"I'm looking forward to the challenge of the Premier League, and Cliftonville Academy is a great team to do it with."
The Ballymena all-rounder was the highest scorer in Section One in 2024, with a tally of 702 runs. He is sure to be a powerful, quality addition to their ranks.
