The 150th anniversary for Muckamore turned out to be a memorable one with the capture of the Challenge Cup in a surprise but deserved victory over Lisburn.
They also did well in the league always threatening the top before settling for a fifth placed finish.
The batting was domiinated by two main performers - Jason van der Merwe and Ben Calitz who between them scored 15 of the 21 half centuries by the Moylena side.
Van Der Merwe hit 845 at 42.25 (6 fifties), while Calitz passed 50 nine times on his way to 804 at 47.29 - both with strike rates in the 90's.
Kyllin Vardhan (425 at 21.25), Sathish Suresh (361 at 18.05) and cup final hero Mark Gleghorne (331 at 30.09) enjoyed their moments of success too, but well behind the top two.
Suresh topped the bowling charts with 34 wickets at 24.62, including one of their two five wicket hauls. Van Der Merwe didn't have many opportunities with the ball at CIYMS, but showed his all-round abilities with 30 wickets at 23.97.
Pavan Karthik was the only other bowler to pass 20 wickets, getting 21 at 26.19, while skipper Neil Gil captured 17, one ahead of Shane Henderson and Curtis Moorhead who both got 16.
2024 will be fondly remembered by all at Moylena - the challenge as always will be to build on it in what is becoming a very cuthroat top flight in the NCU.
