2024 won't go down in the annals of history as one of North Down's finest, but they are working hard behind the scenes to try and make sure 2025 could be.
They did manage to escape the relegation dogfight by finishing on the right side of the cut-off, but there was little to cheer thereafter as they finished sixth.
They did have a great win over Balbriggan in the Irish Cup thanks to a maiden senior hundred by the clearly talented Mohammed Aahil, but that was a rare highlight.
Ani Chore's was in the runs and he will be a big miss for them, and on the bowling front Kerwin Mungroo topped the wicket-keeping charts with 30, proving a handful at times but lacking a consistent threat.
The captures of Tyron Koen, Aditya Adey and Kian Hilton will give them more quality and depth, and with the addition of an overseas player, they could well be in the frame for silverware if the quartet gel quickly and hit the ground running.
