The Americas sub-regional qualifier for the 2026 Men's T20 World Cup continued in Buenos Aires yesterday, with a full slate of full 20-over games taking place after the damp start to proceedings on Friday.
After being washed out yesterday, the home team were able to get on the field at St George's College for their match against Belize. Put into bat, they were bowled out for 101 with Nathan Banner and Maurice Castillo both taking three wickets. This proved to be enough though as Alan Kirschbaum took 3-16 to help bowl the visitors out for 96, a five run win for the hosts.
Also in the morning session, Mexico took on Brazil at the Hurlingham Club and chose to bat first after winning the toss. Richard Avery took 4-20 as Mexico were bowled out for 102. Mexico's Shoaib Rafiq then took 5-12 to help bowl Brazil out for just 55 to secure a 47 run win.
The Cayman Islands played their first game in the afternoon session at St George's College and chose to bat first against Panama after winning the toss. Akshay Naidoo top scored for them with 39 out of their total of 124-6. Alessandro Morris and Adrian Wright then both took three wickets as Panama were bundled out for just 41, losing by 83 runs.
After yesterday's wash out, Bermuda finally got on the field with a match against Suriname at Hurlingham, with the Bermudians batting first after winning the toss. They showed why they're the strongest side in the tournament by making the top score of the day, reaching 161-7 from their 20 overs.

Tre Manders was their top scorer with 44, ably assisted by Dion Stovell who scored 37. Kevon Fubler then took three wickets for just four runs as Suriname were kept to 69-9 from their 20 overs, losing by 92 runs.
Play continues today in the Argentinian capital, with the hosts playing the Bahamas and Bermuda coming up against Panama in the morning session. In the afternoon Brazil take on Suriname and Belize face off with the Cayman Islands.
