Bermuda are the front-runners for the Americas sub-reigonal qualifier for the next men's T20 World Cup as the tournament reaches the first of its two rest days in Buenos Aires.
They recorded a thumping win over Panama at St Albans on Monday morning, restricting them to just 60-7 after the Panamanians chose to bat first. The target was no trouble with captain Terryn Fray clubbing an unbeaten 37 from 15 balls as they chased it down in 4.4 overs, winning by nine wickets.

The hosts were in action over at the Hurlingham ground, with opponents Bahamas batting first after they won the toss. Marc Taylor top scored for the visitors with 41 from 28 balls as they made 119-8 from their 20 overs. This proved to be enough as the home side were kept to 101-5 with Festus Benn taking three wickets for only nine runs to secure an 18 run win.
Suriname took on Brazil in the afternoon match at St Albans and batted first after they won the toss. They made 101-8 from their 20 overs, a total which Brazil were able to chase down with an over to spare for their first win of the tournament. Luis Morais top scored for them with an unbeaten 32, whilst Luiz Muller (27) and Kawsar Khan (28) also made useful contributions.
Cayman Islands captain Conroy Wright won the toss and chose tio bat first against Belize in the afternoon match at Hurlingham. Romeo Dunka top scored for them with 35 out of their total of 151-9. Belize batted out their overs in reply but scored 107-9 and fell short by 44 runs.
Today is a rest day in Beunos Aires before play resumes on Tuesday. Cayman Islands play Suriname and Bahamas take on Belize in the morning session, whilst the afternoon will see Bermuda come up against Mexico whilst hosts Argentina face off with Panama.
