Instonians have confirmed the return of Irish international Matthew Humphreys to the club.

Humphreys left Shaw's Bridge as a 17-year-old after finding his opportunities limited, bowling just 36 overs in three years, taking five wickets.

A move to Lisburn proved to the catalyst his career needed and since 2020 he claimed 138 wickets at just over 20, earning an international call-up for the talented left-armer.

Humphreys was part of a successful title-winning Lisburn side who also claimed an All-Ireland T20 title.

His return to Instonians will strengthen the champions even further, although his international commitments may limit his appearances in 2026.
