St Johnston lost to Eglinton 2-1 in bowl-out after sudden death.
The Boathole, 7 June.
St Johnston 1
Eglinton 2
Richard 'Fish' Wylie (Eglinton CC)
Eglinton beat St Johnston in a sudden-death bowl-out at the Boathole. Perhaps it was fitting that a player nicknamed 'Fish' was the hero for the villagers with Richard Wylie striking the stumps twice to seal Eglinton's place in Tuesday's draw. For St Johnston, Nathan Cole was their only player to strike, and the Donegal side will now participate in the Sammy Jeffrey Shield instead.

The second of the four replays to go to the dreaded bowl-out saw Bready beat Glendermott 2-1 at The Rectory. Josh van Heerden and Kenzie Hall hit for the Tyrone side, while Alan Johnson was on the mark for Glendermott. The consolation for the home side is that they will get the opportunity to defend the Sammy Jeffrey Shield they won so convincingly last year, and the final is also scheduled for the Rectory.

Beechgrove, 7 June.
Brigade 0
Ardmore 1
Kasun Aberaytne (Edrees)
Ardmore are through after they got the better of Brigade in another shoot-out. The first four balls from each side all missed, but Ardmore professional Kasun Aberaytne struck with the last to give the Bleachgreen side the advantage. Ifty Hussain missed with Brigade's last to continue his unwanted record of losing no fewer than three Senior Cup bowl-outs, two with Brigade and one with Fox Lodge.

Anna McGurk produced an economical spell of 2-3, with Kenya McCartney also impressing with 2-7. The chase was completed comfortably in the 11th over. Winners are grinners. Timothy Dougherty and Jason Wallace. (Killyclooney CC)
Killyclooney climbed to second place in the NW Championship after edging out Eglinton by one wicket in a dramatic DLS encounter at Killyclooney. In a match reduced to 35 overs per side, Eglinton were dismissed for 105 in 23.3 overs despite a promising start. Dunith Jayathunga top-scored with 34, including four fours and a six, helping his side reach 83 for 4. However, his dismissal triggered a collapse as Eglinton lost their final six wickets for just 22 runs. Jason Wallace was the chief destroyer with 4-23, while Timothy Dougherty claimed 3-33. Set a revised target of 88 from 22 overs, Killyclooney's chase got off to a disastrous start. Kyle Moore and Ian Young tore through the top order, reducing the hosts to 7 for 4, with Keenan Viera falling first ball. Dougherty counterattacked superbly, striking 40 from the middle order and sharing a vital 47-run stand with Cody Mehaffey. Eglinton fought back through Andy Millar and Robbie Millar, and when Killyclooney slipped to 77 for 9 the visitors appeared favourites. However, Derek Lynch and Wallace held their nerve, with Wallace striking two crucial boundaries to secure a thrilling one-wicket victory.
NW Championship
Glendermott beat Ardmore by 4 wickets (DLS).

Ardmore 155 (36.2 overs; Mark Chambers 42, Adam Chester 33, Sadiq Safi 26; Alex Boyd 5-21, Ben Mills 2-31)

Alex Boyd took five wickets. (CricketEurope)
Glendermott moved to the top of the NW Championship table after a hard-fought four-wicket DLS victory over Ardmore at The Rectory. The visitors were in trouble early on as teenage paceman Alex Boyd ripped through the top order, reducing Ardmore to 22 for 4. Among the casualties was Sri Lankan professional Kasun Aberaytne, who endured a three-ball duck as Boyd finished with impressive figures of 5-21. Ardmore recovered admirably thanks to contributions throughout the middle order. Captain Mark Chambers led the way with a composed 42, striking five fours and a six, while debutant Adam Chester impressed with a brisk 33 that included four boundaries and two maximums. Sadiq Safi added 26 as the visitors battled their way to 155 all out in 36.2 overs. Ben Mills provided excellent support for Boyd with 2-31. Set a revised target of 133 from 34 overs, Glendermott made a positive start before Ardmore fought back through Conor Brolly. The seamer removed in-form openers Blayde Capell and Ben Mills to put the brakes on the chase and continued his fine spell by dismissing Craig Averill and Alan Johnson. Averill's 44 had put the hosts in a strong position, but Brolly's 4-34 ensured there would be no easy route to victory. With the match finely balanced, Trevor Britton held his nerve superbly, finishing unbeaten on 24 to guide Glendermott over the line and secure a valuable win that sends them top of the table.

Frustration was the overwhelming feeling at Ballyspallen as rain forced the abandonment of the NW Championship clash with Burndennett after the first innings had been completed. Burndennett posted a competitive 179 for 8 from their 41 overs, thanks largely to an excellent innings from Usman Azhar. The all-rounder struck 83, including six fours and six sixes, and shared a crucial fifth-wicket partnership of 90 with Ben Logue, who contributed 20. Earlier, opener Mark Doherty had laid a solid foundation with 32. Ballyspallen's bowling effort was led superbly by left-arm spinner Graham Kennedy, who returned outstanding figures of 5 for 24 to keep the visitors in check. However, with rain arriving during the interval, the second innings never got underway. Both sides will now have to do it all again in a replay after the weather had the final say.

Eglinton 163 (30.1 overs; Dunith Jayathunga 64, Andy Lucas 39; Scott Devenney 3-16, David Anthony 3-30, Ryan McAuley 2-17)
St Johnston

Sri Lankan professional Dunith Jayathunga led the way with an attractive 64, striking eight fours and a six, while skipper Andy Lucas raced to 39 from just 29 balls, including eight boundaries. The pair helped Eglinton reach a strong position at 102-2, but the Donegal side fought back superbly to dismiss them for 163. Captain David Anthony and Scott Devenney shared six wickets, both finishing with three scalps, while Ryan McAuley chipped in with 2-17. Rain then arrived before St Johnston could begin their reply.

Bready 15-1 (1.1 overs)
Glendermott and Bready will have to do it all again after rain brought their cup clash to a premature end. Batting first, Glendermott posted 183-9 from their 32 overs, thanks largely to an excellent innings from opener Blayde Capell. The left-hander struck 77 from just 56 balls, peppering the boundary with nine fours and four sixes as his side cruised to 117-2. However, Capell's dismissal triggered a dramatic collapse, with five wickets falling for just 10 runs as Glendermott slumped to 127-7. Nathan McCombe was the chief destroyer with impressive figures of 4-33, while Kenzie Hall claimed 2-10. Teenager Jake Montgomery helped repair the damage with an unbeaten 36, including four fours and a six, while Alex Boyd added a valuable 20. Bready's reply lasted only seven balls, reaching 15-1 after losing Hall, before rain forced an abandonment.

Letterkenny 167-9 (30 overs; Rammohan Goud 49, Ramees Machingal 37, Gopi Siva 31; Louren Steenkamp 4-26)

Ardmore 20-1 (5 overs) (Target 228 from 33 overs.)
Brigade and Ardmore will have to return for a replay after heavy rain washed out their cup tie following just five overs of the second innings. Last season’s beaten finalists, Newbuildings, booked their place in the next round in emphatic fashion with a six-wicket victory over Burndennett. The hosts were restricted to 140-9 in 35.4 overs after an excellent bowling display led by Jared Wilson and Ross Dougherty, who claimed three wickets apiece. Wilson’s figures of 3-9 were particularly impressive, while Peat Salmon chipped in with 2-30. Mark Doherty top-scored for Burndennett with 34, while Rahmat Sahaq added 22. Any hopes of defending the modest total were quickly dashed as Newbuildings launched a stunning chase, racing to 142-4 in just 12 overs. He was brilliantly supported by Salmon, whose explosive 43 came from just 17 deliveries and featured six fours and three maximums, ensuring Newbuildings eased through in spectacular style.
