Jodie Spence led the way with 3-17, while Ella Wasson, Millie Spence, Tiara Mitchell and Sophie Hamilton each claimed a wicket as Eglinton were restricted to 88-8. The home side's total was boosted by 32 extras, including 26 wides and three no-balls. Jenni Jackson struck twice early in the chase to give Eglinton hope, but Bready remained composed. Devine and Laura Allen added 32 in resistance, but Coleraine's bowlers remained in control. The defeat continues a difficult transitional season for Fox Lodge following the loss of many key players from their successful side of recent years.

Record breaker Willie McClintock after his 339 (Bonds Glen CC)
William McClintock and Bonds Glen rewrote the record books on Sunday as the former Irish international made the highest individual score in Ireland. McClintock hit 37 sixes and 21 fours on his way to a remarkable 339 against Letterkenny in the North West Championship - breaking the record of 313 by Captain William Oates of the Munster Fusiliers back in 1895! Statisticians were scouring the archives as McClintock passed the scores set locally by EDR Shearer (233), Decker Curry (260), Roy Silva (295), and finally Oates 131 years previously. Bonds Glen's total of 507 for 8 is also a new Irish record, surpassing the 499 previously made by Leinster. Needless to say the Bee Gees went on to win by 343 runs with Dharm Singh taking five wickets.
Fox Lodge v Bonds Glen - no result.
Ballymagorry, 8 June.
Fox Lodge 27 (14.1 overs; Lucy Thompson 4-8, Rihanna Young 2-4)
Bonds Glen 12-1 (3.1 overs)
Fox Lodge’s difficult season continued as their home fixture against Bonds Glen was washed out just as defeat appeared inevitable. A youthful Fox Lodge side, depleted after losing many of the players who helped dominate women’s cricket in recent years, struggled with both availability and a strong Bonds Glen bowling attack. They were dismissed for just 27 in 14.1 overs, with Lucy Thompson producing outstanding figures of 4-8 and Rihanna Young claiming 2-4. Bonds Glen made a confident start to the chase, reaching 12-1 in only 3.1 overs and looking firmly on course for victory when heavy rain swept in and forced the match to be abandoned. The washout brought little comfort for Fox Lodge, whose rebuilding campaign continues to be a challenging one.

St Johnston
Bready
Yet another walkover for Bready who also had one on Sunday. It's been a disjointed start to the season, and hopefully things will improve and matches start to take place rather than forfeitures all over the show.

Shannon Porter scored an unbeaten 67 (David Anthony)
Fox Lodge claimed an important victory over newly promoted St Johnston at Ballymagorry, chasing down their target with seven balls to spare. Batting first, St Johnston posted 117-4 from their 20 overs thanks almost entirely to an outstanding innings from Shannon Porter. Opening the batting, Porter carried her bat for an unbeaten 67 from 74 deliveries, striking 11 boundaries in a determined knock. However, she received little support from the rest of the batting line-up as Fox Lodge kept the scoring under control for long periods. Elle Moore was the standout bowler for the hosts, taking 2-21. Fox Lodge’s reply got off to a shaky start and they found themselves in trouble at 57-3 after star batter Mollie Devine went cheaply. With the game finely balanced, Kara Bates and Emma Allen produced a match-winning fourth-wicket partnership to guide their side home. Bates finished unbeaten on 40, while Allen contributed 24 not out in an unbroken stand of 63 that came in just ten overs. In a tight contest, St Johnston were ultimately hindered by conceding 32 extras with the ball, a factor that proved decisive in the final result.

Irish international Dalzell also struck the only six of the innings as Bready accelerated towards the finish. Coleraine’s bowling attack struggled for control, conceding 47 extras, including 38 wides, which further boosted the champions’ total. Kia McCartney was the pick of the bowlers with 2-29. There was a real thriller at Eglinton, where the hosts just edged out Fox Lodge by one wicket in a low scoring game. Elle Moore (23) and Kara Bates (17) were the main run scorers in a modest total of 82 for 5 - two wickets apiece for Cara Lamberton and Lucy Carmichael. Eglinton found scoring just as tough but Alice McLaughlin got them to the brink of victory with a top score of 27. When she fell, six were still needed but the villagers last pair of Emma Irwin and Lauren Whiteside got them over the line. There were two wickets each for Kara Bates, Chloe Young and Mollie Devine, but they will surely rue the concession of 34 extras - 29 of them bowling ones which ultimately cost them the game.
