Lisburn have been drawn to play holders Waringstown in the second round of the NCU Challenge Cup.

Waringstown won the famous trophy for the 28th time last summer, closing in on North Down's record haul of 32 wins.

Carrickfergus - who opted to remain in the second tier desite winning Section One - host the winner of the first round clash between Derriaghy and Donacloney Mill.

Cliftonville Academy entertain 2024 winners Muckamore, while league champions Instonians - last year's beaten finalists - have home advantage over Muckamore.

Three-times winners CSNI play Woodvale - whose last of their ten wins came in 1998 - at Stormont, while North Down play CI, whose most recent win was in 2022, in another mouth-watering clash.

The remaining two ties have newly promoted Laurelvake travelling to either Bangor or Saintfield, while there will be at least one Section One side in the last eight as Lurgan or Armagh host the victors of Cregagh v Cooke Collegians.

In the Women's draw, holders Waringstown travel to Muckamore, while Instonians entertain North Down, and Lisburn host Holywood. CSNI got a bye to the semi-finals.

Those games are due to take place on Sunday May 31st.
