PEMBROKE
- Captain: Jack Tector
- Overseas professional: Addison Sheriff
- Players in: As above
- Players out: Blake MacDonald
How do you improve on almost perfection? After back-to-back domestic doubles Pembroke will once again go in search of further silverware and will be favourites for every competition they enter.

They have a plethora of Irish internationals to call upon with the Tectors, Andrew Balbrinie, Lorcan Tucker, Josh Little and Barry McCarthy in the green. Their availability will be boosted by another pathetic home international season, and even on the odd occasion they are hors de combat, the Foxes can call upon enough talent to compete and beat most given the depth and quality at Sydney Parade.
There is a new sheriff in town both in terms of their captain and overseas professional. Addison Sheriff has the difficult task of replacing the ever-consistent Blake MacDonald, while Jack Tector takes the captaincy reins from Paul Lawson.
"We’re all hugely excited for the season ahead," Tector told CricketEurope. "It becomes more difficult every year to maintain the standards we’ve set, particularly after double double-winning seasons in 2024 and 2025, but that’s something we’re embracing.

"There’s a great buzz around the squad heading into 2026, and we’re excited to see how things develop over the course of the season. There is always uncertainty regarding Irish players availability, but this will create a good opportunity and challenge for our playing squad.
"Dan Murray is someone we’re very excited about. It was very unfortunate he missed out on the U19 World Cup, but he has worked extremely hard on his game over the past 12 months."
One area where Pembroke will be looking to improve though is in the Irish Senior Cup, and no doubt Jack will be looking to lift the 'Bob Kerr' trophy above his head in Dublin on August 16th. It will certainly take a special side or performance to stop them.
