It's more or less the sane personnel for Railway Union, who have primarily concentrated on their youth resources in recent years, and are continuing this pathway in 2026.

Philippe Le Roux takes the captaincy reins once more, with fellow youth international Rob O'Brien as his deputy, while Kevin O'Brien, fresh from his World Cup success with Italy, is Head Coach once more.

There are two additions to the squad with Rob Carr joining from Richmondshire, whom he skippered to a Yorkshire League premier title in 2024, as well as Abey Titmus who is studying at UCD and living in Blackrock.

On the debit side they are losing Afghanistan born Hedayat Khogiani, who having scored 1100 runs (6 fifties) in the past two seasons is off to pastures new at Civil Service.

"The two players coming in are great additions for us," said Kevin O'Brien.

"We have primarily a young squad and it's a great opportunity for them to continue their development. It was great to see two of them at the recent World Cup in Rob and Bruce Whaley, so it will great to witness them continue to progress and some other younger guys coming through, gaining exposure to senior cricket.

"We will continue to push the youth from our side as we always do, and hopefully we will get the rewards this season that we came close to achieving last year."

Railway look to very solid foundations in place that will serve them in good stead for not just this season, but many years to come.
