CLONTARF
- Captain: Fionn Hand
- Overseas professional: Sam Morgan
- Players in: Harshit Jain, Nawaz Khan, Kartik Joshi, Ahijah Hill
- Players out: Aaron McGeehan (Balbriggan)
Clontarf came close to capturing the biggest domestic prize of all last year but fell short as they were beaten by Balbriggan in the Irish Cup final.

There's been a bit of change at Castle Avenue over the winter, with a new overseas professional in Sam Morgan, plus some departures and arrivals.
Fionn Hand also taken the captain's armband from David Delany = who will also be representing Trinity in 2026 - and is looking to put a disappointing 2025 firmly behind him.
"I'm really looking ahead to the 2026 season, there’s always a real sense of excitement at this time of year," said Fionn Hand. "New signings bring fresh energy, and the group has been putting in the work to be ready for a long summer ahead.
"On a personal level, this year feels like a fresh challenge. Last season was tough. I didn’t play as big a role as I would have liked, but I’m incredibly grateful for the support I had around me during that time. The break has given me a chance to reflect, reset and come back with a clear mindset. I’m thankful to the group for sticking by me and keeping me involved.

"The team had a strong 2025, competing across cups and the league. That experience will be huge for such a young squad, and it’s something they’ll grow from moving forward."
2026 promises to be a chance for Clontarf to continue to grow, and Hand is hoping that the new seasons freshen things up.
"We’ve added a couple of exciting new faces who’ve already settled in well during pre-season, which has been great to see. There’s also real momentum from within the group. Reuben Wilson returns after an excellent Under-19 World Cup, and I’m looking forward to helping him continue his development and take on more responsibility. A few of the lads also spent time overseas over the winter, which will only add to the group when they return.
"Sam Morgan joins us as our overseas signing and is an exciting addition. After recently being named the Firebirds’ Most Promising Player, he’ll bring quality and energy, and we’re looking forward to seeing his impact.
"A lot of important work happens behind the scenes as well. Nicky Kenny has been outstanding, especially with communication over the past few months and continues to drive standards across the group.

"Overall, if we bring the same energy and enjoyment as we did in 2025, we’ll be in a strong place. It’s a great group - hungry, motivated, and ready to push for silverware, I’m looking forward to leading them this season."
You suspect that Hand and Clontarf won't be too far away from major honours in 2026.
