Leinster Lighting will once again be favourites to complete an interpro double in the new old-look series featuring three teams.

The Dubliners have dominated the sliverware since the revamped series started back in 2013, clinching no fewer than 24 titles, including ten doubles in that time.

Lorcan Tucker will be at the helm - one of six Pembroke players in the initial 14-man squad, all of whom are senior internationals, namely Barry McCarthy, Harry and Tim Tector, Josh Little and Gavin Hoey.

Indeed, no fewer than 11 of the 14 are capped at full level, with the others being the Phoenix duo of Ben White and George Dockrell, Curtis Campher, Stephen Doheny and David Delany.

Completing the squad are Chris De Freitas, Jai Moondra and Matthew Hollard, newly contracted to the Ireland set-up.

Lightning get their defence underway with an away day trip to Bready to face the Warriors on June 2nd.
