The Hills were stunned as they lost by eight runs to Adamstown at The Vineyard. Sid Biju top-scored with 53 as Adamstown made 184 - five wickets for Cian Nulty.

Mohammed Sherzad hit a brisk 43 and there were runs too for overseas player Stefano Di Bartolomeo (32) in the reply but Adamstown prevailed in a tense finish - Aditya Singh 3-30, Nithin Namburu 2-35, Shravon Biju 2-36 the main wicket takers in a famous win.

Knockharley gained an excellent win thanks again to the exploits of Daneyaal Janjua who hit 5 sixes in a top score of 59, while Brandon Kruger hit 42 in their total of 246.

That proved enough as Kashif Ali and Brandon Kruger each took three wickets to dismiss Kildare for 172. Moize Haider hit 40 in the hosts reply but in vain.

It's a funny old game as Greavsie once said. Cork Harlequins travelled with ten men and at 90 for 8 it looked a forlorn journey.

Enter stage left Umer Khan who hit 6 sixes and three fours in a 33-ball 59 as the 9th and last wicket added 64.

Kripesh Shetty took four wickets, while there were two apiece for Ben Dillon and Amir Bifanda.

Sid Nair (49) and Henry Dall (46) added 90 for the third wicket in the chase as Terenure reached 140 for 2 in the 19th over.

The stand was broken but they had little trouble knocking off the rest of the runs to clinch a seven wickets win.
