JONES AND ENGLISH INCLUDED FOR SCOTLAND’S TOUR OF NEPAL
Ollie Jones and Michael English have both been included in the Scotland squad for this month’s tour of Nepal.

Ayr spinner Jones receives his first senior call up after impressing at the U19 World Cup earlier this year, while Ferguslie captain English, who made a hundred on debut against Namibia in 2024, is recalled to the squad.
Bradley Currie returns to the squad after missing the recent tour of Namibia due to illness, replacing Zainullah Ihsan. Several other players, including Chris McBride and Mackenzie Jones who both toured Namibia recently, were unavailable due to a variety of reasons, including county and work commitments or personal
circumstances.
This will be the first visit to Nepal for Scotland Men’s since February 2023, when they lifted the trophy at the conclusion of the previous ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 series. The Scots sit second behind USA in the current standings, and will face the league leaders and Nepal twice each in Kirtipur as they look to secure a place at next year’s global Qualifier for the ICC Men’s World Cup.
Owen Dawkins, Scotland Men’s Head Coach, said: “It’s exciting to have the opportunity to travel to Nepal and play this series against two very strong sides. The country is hugely passionate about cricket, and the crowds are always very vocal and fun to play in front of.
“We’re very familiar with our hosts after playing them in Dundee last summer and then facing them at the recent ICC T20 World Cup, which was a fantastic game that we didn’t quite come out on the right side of. They are extremely talented, as are the USA team who sit top of the CWCL2 standings, so we know we’ll have to play to our best to beat both sides.
“We’re delighted to have Michael English back in the squad. He impressed on the recent A tour to Jersey and has had a good start to the club season. Michael has worked hard through the winter on all aspects of his game and has demonstrated he can bat anywhere in the order, while very importantly he is a good fielder who has the ability to operate in a number of positions.
“Ollie Jones receives his first call-up, and he’s a young player we’ve been watching closely for some time. He performed very well at the U19 World Cup earlier this year, so this is a great opportunity for him to make a mark.
“It’s also good to welcome back Bradley Currie who was originally selected for the Namibia tour but unfortunately missed out due to illness. As we saw at the World Cup, he’s a high-quality seamer and having a left armer in the team provides us with great variety.”
