It will be a long-awaited derby day for Waringstown and Lurgan in the quarter-finals of the Challenge Cup, with the holders drawn at home on Sunday week.

Waringstown hammered Premier League leaders Lisburn and Lurgan got past Section One rivals Cregagh in the second round. The tie, however,l is the only one confirmed for now, with five of last Sunday’s second round ties rained off and to be replayed this Saturday.
Instonians were the only other winners and they have been given a home tie against Carrickfergus or Derriaghy, but Bangor, the other Section One team left in the competition, have been given the incentive of another home game, against North Down or CI, if they can get past Laurelvale at Upritchard Park this weekend.
The remaining either/or tie will pitch the winners of Civil Service North and Woodvale at home to Cliftonville Academy or Muckamore.
For the Co Down/Armagh rivals, this will be a first Challenge Cup meeting since 2014 when Waringstown, chasing 120, won the second round tie by 10 wickets. Some things never change however. Greg Thompson took four wickets and Adam Dennison hit 64 not out.
Quarter-final draw: Waringstown v Lurgan, Bangor or Laurelvale v North Down or CI, Instonians v Carrickfergus or Derriaghy, Civil Service North or Woodvale v Cliftonville Academy or Muckamore.
Ties to be played on Sunday June 21.
