KILLYCLOONEY REACH WOMEN'S SENIOR TWO CUP FINAL

Killyclooney booked their place in the Women's Senior Two Cup final after edging past holders Bready II by two wickets in a thrilling semi-final that went right down to the penultimate over.

Batting first, Bready II posted 81 for 9 from their 20 overs. Captain Alix Dalzell, sister of Irish international Alana Dalzell, led from the front with a top score of 26, while Beth Gorman added 15. Killyclooney's bowlers kept the scoring in check throughout, with Emily Hall producing the standout performance, claiming 4 for 15. Miya Lindsay also impressed, taking 2 for 9.

The chase proved a tense affair. Bready struck early thanks to Alexa Barr, whose superb spell of 3 for 9 included two wickets in the opening over to leave Killyclooney under immediate pressure.

However, a crucial third-wicket partnership of 55 between Emilie Davis and Ashley Lynch, who both scored 20, swung the contest in the hosts' favour and appeared to put them firmly in control.

Bready refused to surrender, with Beth Gorman's 2 for 12 helping to keep the outcome in doubt. Yet amid mounting tension, Madison Buchanan and Taylor Moan held their nerve to steer Killyclooney over the line.

They now await the winners of Friday night's second semi-final between Donemana and Strabane at The Holm.
