North West Girls Ready for Leinster Challenge 

The North West have named a talented 13-player squad for Wednesday's interprovincial clash against Leinster at Bready, with captain Tiara Mitchell (pictured below) leading a group packed with emerging stars from across the region.

Mitchell is one of four representatives from hosts Bready, alongside Jodie Spence, Ella Wasson and Mansi Bhavsar. Spence arrives in confident mood after producing a match-winning century for Foyle College in Monday's Schools' Cup final, underlining her credentials as one of the province's most exciting young batters.

Bonds Glen also contribute four players to the squad, reflecting the club's impressive underage success in 2025. Sisters Rihanna and Emily Young are included alongside Poppy Miller and Leah Thompson, all of whom have played key roles in the club's outstanding campaign.

Coleraine pair Anna McGurk and Connie Block have also earned selection, while Strabane duo Abaigh Gillespie and Abbey-Gale McGarrigle make the short journey to Bready hoping to make their mark on the representative stage.

Completing the squad is Eglinton's Cara Lamberton, a player many observers believe has the potential to progress to the highest levels of the game in the years ahead.

With a blend of proven performers and exciting prospects, the North West will be eager to make home advantage count against a traditionally strong Leinster side. The 30-overs-per-side contest gets underway at 11.30am and offers another valuable opportunity for the region's brightest young cricketers to test themselves against elite opposition.

There will be little time to rest after Wednesday's encounter, with the squad back in action the following day when they travel to Downpatrick to face the Northern Cricket Union in a second interprovincial fixture.
