Bready booked their place in the North West Women’s Cup final after edging past Coleraine by three wickets in a dramatic run chase.

Coleraine posted 174 for five from their 30 overs, built around a superb 87 from Amy Caulfield. She struck 13 fours and a six from 88 balls, sharing an important partnership with Kenya McCartney, who made 35.

Jodie Spence was the pick of the Bready attack with two for 19, while Millie Spence, Sophie Hamilton and E Wasson claimed one wicket apiece.

Bready’s reply began badly as captain Lucy McGranaghan fell for four in the opening over. Millie Spence and Alana Dalzell also departed cheaply, leaving the innings under pressure.

Wasson counter-attacked with 25 from 21 balls before Mansi Bhavsar revived the chase with a crucial 39. Her composed innings, supported by Hamilton, brought Bready back into contention.

Hamilton held her nerve with an unbeaten 21 from 45 deliveries, while Tiara Mitchell added eight during a vital late partnership. After Mitchell fell with only four runs required, Alix Dalzell joined Hamilton to complete the chase with two overs left.

Bready will now face Bonds Glen in the final on Friday, August 14, after surviving a determined Coleraine challenge.
