The dominant performance underlined Leinster’s superiority in the competition as they chased down a target of 141 in only 21.5 overs.

The Warriors were dismissed for 140 after struggling to build a substantial partnership against a disciplined Leinster attack.

Captain and wicketkeeper Lucy McGranaghan top-scored with 24, while Kia McCartney added 23 and Jessica Cooke finished unbeaten on 18. Mansi Bhavsar made 14 and Millie Spence contributed 11, but wickets fell regularly throughout the innings.

Forner Eglinton all-rounder Zara Craig led the Leinster bowling effort with three for 25, while Ellie McGee claimed two for 23. Lucy Barry, Aisling Lawlor and Arisha Foysal also took a wicket apiece, with two run-outs adding to the Warriors’ difficulties.

Leinster’s reply suffered an early setback when Susan Whaley was run out for six, but captain Annabel Squires struck 28 to ensure the chase remained firmly on course.

After Squires was bowled by Millie Spence, Aisling Lawlor and Craig took control with a decisive third-wicket partnership. Lawlor anchored the innings with an unbeaten 39, while Craig struck a fluent 38 before being caught behind off Sophie Hamilton with only 13 runs required.

Izzy McLean then joined Lawlor and finished unbeaten on nine as Leinster reached their modest target with more than 18 overs to spare.

The Warriors’ bowlers were unable to build sustained pressure, with Spence and Hamilton claiming the only wickets to fall to the attack.

Leinster’s comprehensive win confirmed them as Future Series champions with two fixtures remaining, providing a fitting reward for their consistency and strength throughout the campaign.
