Ireland Under-19 Women made it two wins in as many days over Scotland after holding their nerve to complete a dramatic nine-run victory in another Celtic Cup thriller.

Ireland posted 160 for five from their 20 overs before restricting Scotland to 151 for nine, with young CSNI spinner Katie West emerging as the hero of a tense finale.
Isabelle McLean gave Ireland a strong platform with 37, while Grace Wilson added 13 before falling with the score on 43.
Aisling Lawlor and Genevieve Morrissey then kept the innings moving through the middle overs. Lawlor made 27 before being run out, while Morrissey struck 36 and helped Ireland reach 151 for four.
Niamh Lowry contributed a useful 24, with Gemma Sargent and Millie Spence remaining unbeaten as Ireland set Scotland a challenging target.
Scotland’s reply was led by international Pippa Sproul, who struck an excellent 53, while Rebecca McCrossan made 19. Isabella Watson then added 27 as the visitors reached 106 for two and appeared well placed.
However, Ireland continued to apply pressure in the field. Five run-outs transformed the contest, with Lawlor, Wilson, West, Lowry and McLean all involved as Scotland’s chase began to unravel.
West then took centre stage with the ball. The spinner trapped Ammy Baldie lbw before removing Lily Drummond, finishing with outstanding figures of two for five from two overs.
Penny Speer and Mansi Bhavsar claimed one wicket apiece, while Ireland’s sharp fielding proved decisive under pressure.
Scotland needed 11 from the final over but could manage only one, closing on 151 for nine.
The narrow victory gave Ireland a second successive win over their Scottish counterparts and underlined their composure in tight situations, with West’s decisive late spell ensuring another memorable finish.
