Tale of two centuries as Marillier answers Hall in style

It was a tale of two centuries at Donemana as Kenzie Hall and Luke Marillier both struck their third hundreds of the season, with Marillier’s unbeaten 120 ultimately carrying the hosts to a seven-wicket victory over Bready.

Hall had earlier produced a superb 117 from 127 balls as Bready were bowled out for 195 in 42 overs.

His innings contained 18 fours and a six and dominated a scorecard in which no other batter passed 24. After Bready slipped to 90 for four, Hall continued to hold the innings together before eventually becoming the seventh wicket with the total on 156.

David Scanlon added a useful 24 late on, but DJ Dougherty finished with four for 21, while Azim Kazi claimed three for 20.

Donemana’s reply began with the early loss of Jamie Huey for four, but Marillier quickly took control.

He shared a rapid 96-run second-wicket stand with Raymond Curry, who struck 40 from just 24 balls with six fours and two sixes.

Marillier then powered on to his century, producing a spectacular unbeaten 120 from 76 balls. His innings featured eight fours and no fewer than 13 sixes as Donemana made light work of the target.

Azim Kazi fell for six, but Roy McGerrigle joined Marillier and remained unbeaten on 18 as the hosts raced to victory in only the 24th over.
