Adamstown finish fourth after solid First Team League campaign
Adamstown finished fourth in the Leinster First Team League in 2026, completing a solid if unspectacular campaign in a competition that continues to struggle for affection among the senior clubs operating below the Premiership.

There were enough encouraging individual performances to suggest Adamstown possessed plenty of quality, but not quite the consistency across the side to turn themselves into serious title contenders.
Prashanth Damodaran was comfortably the standout batter, compiling 812 runs at an average of 47.76. He struck three centuries and three half-centuries, with a highest score of 115, and was the player around whom much of the batting revolved.
Dinesh David also enjoyed a productive season, making 550 runs at 30.56, including two hundreds and two fifties, while Sidharth Biju contributed 505 runs with four half-centuries.
Angad Bawa added 354, but below the leading four the returns dropped away. Nithin Namburu was next with 262, highlighting an area where Adamstown will want greater depth if they are to mount a stronger challenge next year.
The bowling was headed by Shravon Biju, who took 26 wickets at an excellent average of 17.85, closely followed by Aryan Adelkar with 25.
Dinesh David completed a useful all-round campaign with 21 wickets, while Prabhanshu Kamal was particularly impressive in limited opportunities, claiming 16 wickets at just 13.31, including a superb seven for 60.
There was, however, a noticeable drop-off beyond the principal attack, with several bowlers proving expensive and the overall unit lacking the consistency required to dominate opponents regularly.
Fourth place was therefore probably a fair reflection of Adamstown’s season. They had enough quality to beat most sides on their day, but not quite enough sustained strength to challenge seriously for top honours.
The basis for improvement is certainly there. A little more batting depth and greater control from the supporting bowlers could see Adamstown push much closer to the top in 2027 for one of Leinster's and Irish cricket's growing clubs.
