Terenure left frustrated after disappointing campaign
Terenure endured a disappointing season as they finished fifth in the six-team First Team League, with their struggles all the more frustrating given some outstanding individual performances.

Despite boasting one of the competition’s most prolific batters in Henry Dall, the Dublin side were unable to find the consistency needed to challenge at the top end of the table.
Dall was unquestionably the shining light in an otherwise underwhelming campaign, amassing a magnificent 901 runs in 20 innings at an average of 53. His remarkable tally included four centuries and two half-centuries, with a highest score of 157. He struck 128 boundaries and 11 sixes, providing the backbone of the Terenure batting throughout the campaign. Dall also made a significant contribution with the ball, claiming 24 wickets, underlining his importance to the side.
Sidharth Nair was the next highest run-scorer with 473 at an average of 36.38, including three half-centuries. His attacking approach was reflected in 21 sixes, the most by any Terenure player.
However, the considerable gap between the leading pair and the remainder of the batting order highlighted one of the team's problems.
Zeeshan Mumtaz contributed 328 runs, while Thomas Shand was close behind with 325, but neither managed to produce the sustained consistency required to turn promising starts into match-winning contributions.
Bhavic Tukrel was another bright spot, scoring 212 runs at an average of 35.33 from ten innings, while also enjoying an excellent season with the ball.
Indeed, Terenure possessed a bowling attack capable of troubling opponents, with Kripesh Shetty leading the wicket-taking charts with 27 scalps at an impressive average of 19.70, including a superb 5 for 12.
Tukrel was equally effective, taking 25 wickets at just 18.24 apiece, while Aamir Bafanda collected 22 and Naveed Khan 17, including a five-wicket haul.
With five players claiming more than 20 wickets or coming close, there was certainly no shortage of bowling talent.
Ultimately, however, fifth place represented a poor return for a side with such individual quality.
Finding greater consistency across the batting order and turning strong individual displays into collective victories will be central to Terenure's hopes of a much-improved campaign next season.
