Muckamore enjoyed a steady 2025 season that was always going to be a hard act to follow on from the cup glory of 2024.

Neil Gill is at the helm once more, and he will be delighted the Moylena side has secured the services of a quality overseas professional in Neil Brand.

Alistair Shields and Aditya Adey strengthen the squad considerably having arrived from North Down and Woodvale respectively.

On the debit side, Shane Henderson is off to Templepatrick, while Arnold Oduvelil has opted for North Down.

"The 2025 season was an ‘ok’ season, could have been better could have been worse but we are really looking to push on now and try and challenge on all fronts," skipper Neil Gill told CricketEurope.

"We have brought in a top professional in Neil Brand who played a few games for us last season as a sub-pro and almost averaged 100 with the bat and a top bowler too.

"Aditya returns to the club after a few seasons away - a very good all rounder and finally Ally Shields has joined us from North Down. Ally is a top bat and very handy bowler and I think this will be a great move for both Ally's game and the club.

"We have the Bates youngsters who impressed last season, we’ve no doubt they will keep getting better and better. And having a match winner in Jason Van Der Merwe with both bat and ball helps any team.

"We also have Stevie Smyth as our coach. Stevie was club coach last season and he will be doing that this year along with coaching the 1sts squad. I’m delighted to have Stevie onboard to get the boys working hard during the week!"
