Ireland Wolves 173/4 (22.3 overs; C Carmichael 75*, S Doheny 46; S Ashraf 2-23)
Gavin Hoey bowls Bilal Sami to end the Afghan innings (Sporty.lk)
Three wickets in the power play saw Afghanistan at 50/3 before a fourth wicket partnership added 111. Going into the last twenty, five wickets in hand looking to push on. But four wickets in as many overs a fourth wicket for skipper Gavin Hoey wraps things up! Positive start to the chase with runs flowing for Cade Carmichael and Stephen Doheny. 50 up in the 7th over, runs flowing, more than half way to their target at 94/0 in 12. Fun ended as Doheny mistimes hook and caught at deep square. Sam Topping goes cheaply, stumped, while elder brother Morgan is caught for 8. Ross Adair off the mark with a six, followed by a four, Ended on 19 by an lbw verdict - adjudged..Won't matter as just 22 required. Emphatic 6-wickets win that was fully deserved and keeps their hopes of reaching the final alive. Need Sri Lanka A to do them a favour.
Ireland Wolves captain Gavin Hoey was named Man of the Match for his four wickets.
Ireland Wolves

Women's World Cup Qualifier
West Indies beat Thailand by 6 wickets.
Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, 19 April.
Thailand 166 (46.1 overs; N Chantham 66, N Boochatham 29, C Sutthiruang 21; A Fletcher 4-20, A Alleyne 3-41, A Munisar 2-15)
West Indies 168/4 (10.5 overs; H Matthews 70, C Henry 48, Q Joseph 26)
70 off 29 from Hayley Matthews as Windies fall agonisingly short (WIndies Cricket)
Thailand struggling at 78 for 5 at the halfway point of their innings, Any Fletcher with four wickets but Natthakan Chantham posts a half-century to get Thailand up to 166. Windies need to chase it in just over 10 overs...They're certainly giving it a go with Hayley Matthews getting a 21-ball 50. 75/0 after 5 overs, and Qiana Joseph is caught in the deep for 26 now 80 needed off 25 balls. Matthews goes for 70 and with her you would feel Windies hopes. Chinelle Henry keeps swinging and connecting, but caught right on the ropes. Now they need to go Four, Six off the last two balls of the eleventh. But a six from the fifth ball denies them a last gasp chance to pip Bangladesh. What an effort but it's in vain. Bangladesh will join Pakistan at the World Cup by 0.01! Lots of tears, those photographers need to be careful - might get one shoved somewhere...
Women's World Cup Qualifier
Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 7 wickets
Lahore CCA, 19 April.
Bangladesh 178/9 (50 overs; R Moni 48, F Khatun 44*, S Akhter 24; S Iqbal 3-28, F Sana 2-45, D Baig 2-45)
Pakistan 181/3 (39.4 overs; Muneeb Ali 69, A Riaz 52*, S Amin 37)
Pakistan cruise to victory (PCB)
Bangladesh find the going tough but manage to bat out their 50 overs. If they lose it will all come down to NRR and they will be hoping Thailand don't totally implode against West Indies. Early wicket but after that Muneeb Ali and Sidra Amin forged what looks like being a match defining second partnership of 80. Runs continuing to flow as the hosts cruising to victory and the winners trophy. The 7 wickets loss means Bangladesh now depending on Thailand doing them a favour and not losing too heavily to West Indies if they are to claim the second place on offer.
