Scotland remain in the running for one of the two places in the Women's World Cup after a 58 run win over fellow associates Thailand today in Lahore.
Batting first after Kathryn Bryce won the toss, Scotland lost Pippa Sproul early in their innings. Abbi Aitken-Drummond had a brief cameo of 22 from 25 balls before she was the second wicket, with Sarah Bryce bowled on 5 by Thipatcha Putthawong for the third wicket.
Kathryn Bryce and Alisa Lister put on the top partnership of the innings, adding 67 for the fourth wicket before the latter was out for 38, scored at exactly one run per ball. Bryce and Megan McColl added another 27 before Bryce was bowled by Onnicha Kamchomphu for 60.

The bulk of the run scoring then came from McColl who was the last wicket to fall for 57, with the bottom five of the Scotland line-up offering very little in the way of runs. The final total for the Scots was 206. Putthawong and Kamchomphu both finished with three wickets for Thailand.
The only score of note in Thailand's reply was Natthakan Chantham who scored 63 from 58 balls before being bowled by Abtaha Maqsood. Maqsood, Rachel Slater and Katherine Fraser all took three wicket as Thailand were bowled out for 148, losing by 58 runs.
Scotland will next be in action on Tuesday when they take on Bangladesh, with Thailand playing Ireland the same day.
