Lisburn 50-6 at the half way stage but that represented a recovery from a disastrous 15-6 with Erin Bond and Lara Maritz ripping through the host's top order. Things got no better for Lisburn after the drinks break as Alex Atkinson claimed three wickets in two overs. Beth Kennedy and Extras (17) the only double figure contributions in a disappointing batting display. In the briefest of chases Irish International Lara Maritz plundered an unbeaten 45 from just 17 balls (3x4, 4x6) leaving Dutch International Madison Landsman a spectator with just a single to her name off her only delivery faced.

The Adair brothers, back together in a full-strength Lisburn side, were the feature acts in their crushing 144 runs win over Muckamore Mark Adair returned to the side in sensational batting form, hitting 88 from 47 balls in an innings which included 11 sixes. With captain Neil Whitworth scoring 98 (10 fours and three sixes) the home side powered to 356 for seven. Amid the mayhem, Neil Gill and Jason van der Merwe bowled their 20 overs for just 71 as the other 30 overs disappeared for 276. Ross Adair then produced career best figures of seven for 32 in 7.2 overs, as the visitors crashed from 151 for two to 212 all out to give Lisburn their first win over Muckamore in three attempts after losing last year's Challenge Cup final and this year's first League game.

Waringstown wasted no time in winning their first post-split game, needing barely 18 overs to pass North Down’s 156 at Comber. Daniel van der Merwe thumped 87 from just 36 balls with 12 fours and four sixes and although he was third out with the scores tied, Tom Mayes hit the winning boundary next ball. Van der Merwe put on 121 for the second wicket with Sam Topping who was out for 50. Ross Allen was Waringstown’s most successful bowler with four wickets, including top scorer Tyron Koen for 35. Craig Young made his return for North Down, bowling six wicketless overs for 32.

Instonians kept pace with Waringstown at the top of the Premier League with an emphatic eight wickets victory over CIYMS at Belmont. In the absence of Ben Rose, 14-year-old David Agnew was brought in and claimed the match ball with figures of five for 37 as the home side were bowled out for 161 inside 44 overs. Chris Dougherty, top scorer with 49, was Agnew’s first wicket and he took the last three in the space of 10 balls for just four runs. Cade Carmichael dominated the first two partnerships which put on 75 before Neil Rock took over, scoring 75 of the last 92 runs, from just 26 balls with five fours and eight sixes, the last three in succession to win the match in the 23rd over.

Woodvale eased their relegation worries with a huge 111 runs win over Civil Service North at Ballygomartin Road. Star of the show was Ashwin Shetty who followed up his 52 off 30 balls, at No 8, (three fours, four sixes) with figures of five for 42. Ludwig Kaestner top scored in the the home side’s 279 for nine, with 84 (seven fours, four sixes). It was another very disappointing batting display from CSN with Adam Leckey’s 44 the only score over 20 as they were bowled out for 168 in the 38th over.

Cliftonville Academy left Templepatrick firmly rooted to the bottom of the Premier League after a five wickets victory at the Castle Grounds. Professional Abhishek Raut took his side to victory with more than 10 overs to spare with 112 not out (13 fours and two sixes). Only Jared Wilson gave him any meaningful support, 33 in a fifth wicket stand of 106 which the Indian dominated. He was also the best bowler on view, finishing with four for 40, including the wickets of top scorer Charles Swart for 78 and opposite number Sandun Weerakkody for 65 in the visitors 217.

Connor Brown and Matthew Skelly combined to dismiss Downpatrick for just 39 on their way to a seven-wicket win that keeps them in mid-table and Downpatrick rooted to the bottom. Brown took 6 for 14, while Skelly claimed 4 for 20 in a superb effort by the duo. The chase was over in under eight overs, but Sam Irwin did take two of the three Bangor wickets to fall to take the bad look off the heavy defeat.

Holywood kept their NCU Women’s title hopes alive with a 25-run win over Muckamore at Moylena. Overseas player Madison Landsman was the star of the show as she thumped nine fours and three sixes in a 25-ball 62, adding 40 with Erika Simms (29) in a total of 148 for seven – two wickets apiece for Nikki Niblock and Jenni Jackson. The Moylena side made 123 for eight in reply, boosted by the concession of 53 extras by Holywood, but luckily for them it didn’t prove fatal. The wickets were shared with Lola Raphael picking up three and Lara Maritz two. Holywood’s next match is against table toppers Waringstown, where a win for the Seapark side would leave the pair level going into the final game of the season.

Holywood’s title ambitions suffered a major jolt when they were beaten by ten runs (DLS) by CSNI. The Seapark side were bundled out for just 72, with three wickets for Eva Wilson, and two apiece for Katie West and Emily Carville. Wilson (19) then added 51 for the second wicket with skipper Jemma Gillan (21 not out) that saw CSNI ahead of the game when the match was stopped by the rain after 15 overs.

Grace Wilson (51) and Lucy Andrews (36) added 92 in 13 overs but the Wallace Park side fell 13 runs adrift in another match curtailed by the weather.

in the NCU Women’s Premiership, defending champions Waringstown are two wins away from another title after an eight-wicket win at home to Muckamore. Two wickets apiece from Abigaile Gerken and Lucia Derby helped them restrict the Moylena side to 80 for seven – Nikki Niblock making 22. Fiona Muray took two wickets in the chase, but a third wicket partnership of 44 between Amy Caufield (31 not out) and Gerken (23 not out) clinched the easy win in the 12th over.

Eva Wilson hit four boundaries in a run-a-ball 30 looking destined to lead the Stormont side to victory as they reached 61 for one in the 8th over. However, the wheels came off as they slumped to 96 all out - two wickets apiece for Gracie and Evey Keenan sealing the 18-run win.

Holywood remain unbeaten after a 65-run DLS victory against CSNI at Seapark. Lara Maritz made it two centuries in seven days, as the currently out of favour Irish international sent yet another message to the selectors with a brilliant unbeaten 101 from just 68 deliveries – 17 fours and one maximum. She dominated a third wicket partnership of 124 in just ten overs with Erin Bond (23no) as the Seapark side racked up 192 in 20 overs. CSNI were never in contention, struggling to 74 for five in 15 overs – captain Jemma Gillan top-scoring with 20 – before heavy rain forced the players from the field. Alexandra Atkinson with two wickets was the pick of the Holywood attack.

Waringstown are top after they made it four wins from four with a thumping 174-run victory against Muckamore. Amy Caulfield (33) and Sophie Hinds (29) shared an opening stand of 71 to lay the perfect platform for Charlotte Lyons and Abigaile Gerken. The pair scored half centuries in a third wicket stand of 119 in 11.2 overs to take them to a daunting 200 for three. Penny Speer then took four wickets as Muckamore were rolled over for just 26 – two wickets apiece for Lyons and Naomi Matthews.

Skipper Jemma Gillan made 41 in a home side total of 109 for nine – two wickets apiece for Penny Speer, Rachel Harrison, Abigaile Gerkin and Amy Caulfield. Gillan struck twice in the first over of the chase, but Amy Caulfield (39no) and Sophie Hinds (37*) shared an unbroken third wicket partnership of 104 to seal victory in the 17th over.

Muckamore were also eight wicket winners at home to Lisburn. Joanne Logan took three wickets and Ella Naylor two for 17 to restrict Lisburn to 94 for seven, with Jade Neely making 26 not out. A run-a-ball unbeaten 30 from Beth McCrea and 26 from Naylor eased them home in the 12th over, both hitting four boundaries.

In the NCU Women’s Premiership, Holywood top the table after they won by 55 runs at North Down in a high scoring game. Lara Maritz thumped 12 fours and cleared the ropes nine times in a hard-hit 52-ball 121 before retiring. The former Irish international added 166 with overseas player Madison Landsman, who made a similarly boundary laden unbeaten 82 from 41 balls (12 fours, 3 sixes) in a Holywood total of 223 for one. Kiara Fisher made a spirited 96 not out in the chase, hitting 14 fours and one maximum in her 60-ball innings, but received little support as the Comber side ended on 168 for seven – three wickets for Erin Bond.

CSNI made it two wins from two as they beat North Down by 32 runs at Comber. Sarah Rountree top scored with 34, sharing a 50 stand with Rachael Thomas (19) as the Stormont side made 121 for 9 - boosted by 36 extras - three wickets for Evie Keenan and Rebecca Webster. North Down' chase failed to get any real momentum as they struggled to 89 for 7 with only Kiara Fisher - who hit five fours in an unbeaten 40 from 39 balls - showing serious resistance. The Stormont side stuck to their task well, with two wickets apiece for Emma Calvert and Eva Wilson.
Holywood beat Muckamore by 61 runs.

Holywood's bowlers proved too strong for Muckamore in their clash at Seapark. Eva Cuppitt's 31 helped Holywood to what might have looked a modest 101 for 6 in their 20 overs - two wickets for Beth McCrea. It proved more than enough though as the Moylena side were skittled for just 40 - three wickets for overseas player Madison Landsman and Nina Kerr, while Tasmin Hope claimed 2 for 6 in a convincing 61-run win.

Waringstown went top of the table after they beat Lisburn by six wickets at The Lawn. Rebecca Lowe hit five boundaries in a 35-ball 44, sharing a second wicket stand of 83 with Sarah McCallan (29). The wheels came off though thereafter as Lisburn lost nine wickets for just 22 runs - Penny Speer taking 4 for 23, Naomi Matthews 3 for 14, and Irish international Cara Murray 2/21. Amy Caufield and Abbi Harrison each made 37 in a third wicket partnership of 60 in nine overs as Waringstown chased down their target inside 12 overs despite two wickets for Faith Wright.

CSNI flexed their muscles with an entertaining 52-run win over Muckamore at Stormont. Jemma Gillan was the batting hero for CSNI as she hit six boundaries in an unbeaten 60-ball 69. There were runs too for Sarah Rountree (19) and Emma Kennedy (17*) in a total of 177 for 6. Ulster Hockey and NCU pathways players Ella Naylor kept the chase interesting with a 29-ball 53 (9 fours, 1 six), but her dismissal ended their faint hopes. Eva Wilson (3-19) and Emma Kennedy (2-18) taking a combined five wickets.

Holywood travelled to Lisburn and came away with a ten-wickets win thanks to a dominant all-round display. The Wallace Park side managed just 61 with Sophie Orr (18) and Cherry Geddam (13) their double figures contributors. South African born Netherlands international Madison Landsman took 3 for 6 with her leg breaks, while there were two wickets each for Tamsin Hope - the Hampshire pathways player who attends Rockport School looks a real prospect at just 13 - and Erin Bond. The modest target was knocked off with minimum fuss, as Lara Maritz hit 5 fours and a six in her unbeaten 35, sharing an opening stand of 63 with Eva Cupitt (16*) as the runs were knocked off in just 7.3 overs.

Waringstown had little trouble accounting for North Down at The Lawn, running out 10-wickets winners. The Comber side were restricted to 64 for 6 with Keziah Dines top-scoring with 20, and Evey Keenan (16). Naomi Matthews (4-7) starred with the ball for the hosts. The chase was a routine one as New Zealand U19 international Abigaile Gerken hit six boundaries in an unbeaten 34, sharing an opening stand of 65 with Amy Caulfield (12*).
