Merrion have confirmed South African Muhammad Manack as their overseas professional for the 2025 season.

The 22-year-old all-rounder has just broken into the Lions first-class team, scoring 64 and 49 against Western Province and the Warriors in November, having made his debut last December.

He made those runs batting at three in a strong Lions side and is clearly a player with a bright future ahead of him.

Manack also bowls right-arm off-spin having taken two first-class wickets.

Merrion will be hoping that Manack helps them challenge once again for the Premiership title, having missed out to fierce rivals Pembroke in 2024.
