Hundred for Sam Topping (CricketEurope)
The Northern Knights survived a mid-innings wobble to chase down the Warriors 283 to win by four wickets at Stormont. An opening stand of 128 between Cade Carmichael and James McCollum laid the platform, but four wickets for Scott Macbeth had the game in the balance at 222 for 6. Tom Mayes (40*) thumped three sixes in an over to hasten the Knights home, sharing an unbroken 7th wicket stand of 64 with Jordan Neill (32*). Earlier, debutants Sam Topping (120) and Andrew Balbirnie (91) shared an opening stand of 217 - the third highest in the 50 overs competition's 12-year history - before both fell in quick succession to Matthew Foster. Tom Mayes picked up three wickets late on, while there were entertaining 20's from Jake Egan and Jared Wilson.
