Pembroke's Gavin Hoey signed off his time with University of New South Wales with a fine 97 in their Premier League clash with Randwick Petersham in Sydney.

The 23-year-old hit 11 fours and 3 sixes in his 163-ball knock before being trapped lbw by Riley Ayre, as his team made 213.

In reply, the Randy Petes reached 20 without loss by close of play.

It's the last action for Hoey who is flying to the UAE to hook up with his Irish team mates ahead of a training camp for their forthcoming Zimbabwe trip.

Hoey has been named in both the ODI and Test squads with the one-off Test getting underway in Bulawayo on February 6th.
