Saturday saw the Grasshoppers lose a nail-biting thriller against Groot Drakenstein by just one wicket despite the best efforts of former Ireland A international Neil Gill.
The Muckamore man showed he is no mug with the bat as he made a brilliant 98 (10 fours, 3 sixes), just missing out on a deserved century for his efforts in the sweltering 37c conditions.
Gill dominated half century stands with Seby Best (18) and Calum Atkinson (16), and also added a rapid 42 for the 6th wicket with James Lambert (38).

The Grasshoppers had juggled their order to give batting opportunities to members of the touring party who hadn't spenyt much time in the middle, so they would have been please dit worked out as they posted 216 for 6 in their 40 overs.
It looked as if it would be enough as a superb spell by Michael Waite (3-29) plus two wickets apiece for James Lambert and Aaron Wright, plus one for the experienced Simon Stokes reduced the hosts to 136 for 8.
However, Groot rallied with some late order heroics by Sherrat (62) and the last wicket pair which got them over the line from the penultimate ball.
The Grasshoppers will refect on the concession of 31 wides, which proved the difference in a tight contest.
The final match of the tour takes place on Sunday when they will face Claremont, hoping to fiinish the memorable tour on a high.
Rumours are that they could well have Stuart Broad on board for that clash with Claremont, as well as former South African international Ashwell Prince - quite the coup if it materialises.
