Bready have confirmed the signing of South African Josh van Heerden as their overseas professional for the 2025 season.

He replaces Indian batsman Parth Palawat.

The 26 year-old has a very impressive track record across the formats as a right-handed top-order batter, averaging 34.72 in first-class cricket, and a very healthy 45.78 (3 hundreds, 3 fifties) in List-A cricket for the Titans.

He has also played international cricket for Germany, where he averages 45.16 in ten appearances.

Van Heerden also is reportedly a very useful off-spinner and his capture will certainly make the Magheramason a tough proposition for their Premiership rivals.

"Josh comes with a glowing recommendation from our very own Romano Ramoo," said Bready on their Facebook page.

"He has loads of experience opening the batting as well as bowling very tidy off-spin.

"He has a great appetite for coaching and helping develop playersboth junior and senior within our club."
