The second leg of the Men's World Cup Challenge League B continued in Hong Kong today with Uganda and Bahrain both recording wins, over Singapore and Tanzania respectively.

At the Kowloon Cricket Club, Uganda won the toss and asked Singapore to bat first, with Hari Kukreja and Amartya Kaul opening the batting, though Kaul retired hurt after 3 overs with the score on 13. Kukreja and Aman Desai took the score to 96 before the former was run out for 38.

Kaul came back to the crease at this point, with 30 more added before Desai was dismissed for 66 at the end of the 31st over with Singapore having crawled to 126 by that point. Ishaan Swaney gave the rest of the innings some impetus with an unbeaten 64 from 56 balls to take Singapore's total to 243-9.

Uganda had little trouble in their run chase, with their opening pair of Robinson Obuya and Shrideep Mangela scoring 71 in 15.3 overs before the former was out for 25. Mangela and Raghav Dhawan added another 53 before Mangela was bowled by Manpreet Singh for 48.

That was it as far as wickets were concerned with Dhawan and Alpesh Ramjani adding an unbroken 121 to secure the eight wicket win. Dhawan top scored with 71 with Ramjani close behind on 67.

Over at the Mission Road ground, Tanzania were put into bat by Bahrain and had a horror start, collapsing to 34-6. A lower order rally led by 57 from Akhil Anil added a faint air of respectability to their innings but 139 was never going to be enough. Imran Anwar was the pick of Bahrain's bowlers, taking 4-22.

Bahrain lost four wickets in their run chase, three of them to Khalidy Juma, but were largely untroubled, chasing down their target in 140-4. Sohail Ahmed top scored for them with an unbeaten 57.

Tomorrow is another rest day with Wednesday seeing Italy come up against Uganda in a top of the table clash whilst hosts Hong Kong face off with Tanzania.
