Balbriggan CC have recently completed the build of their Indoor Cricket Centre which they have started using since the 16th January 2025.

The Club are extremely proud of the finished centre which is a great addition to the growth of the club and also to help in the expansion of the sport in the wider community.

Club sessions are thriving with in excess of 150 Club members, young and old, male and female having used the facility to date. 

Additionally, many members from other clubs are actively using the facility in groups or private bookings with members from Merrion, Pembroke, The Hills, Swords, Ashbourne, Knockharley, Phoenix, Castleknock, Malahide, Leinster, Rush, Halverstown and North Kildare, among those to have used it to date. 

The feedback from those who have used the Indoor Centre has been very positive and gratifying. 

It's envisaged that the facility will offer the use of speed bowling radars and other useful coaching means over the coming weeks. 

The building was erected by Halcon Construction and the fit out of the Centre was completed by Christian Durant and his team from Durant Sports who were experts in the advice and installation of the surface and netting which gives the user the most realistic experience of an indoor cricket surface. 

The netting and sightscreens are black in colour so the use of white or pink balls is preferable and white bowling machine balls are provided with the bowling machine. 

The Indoor Cricket Centre will be officially opened in the coming weeks when all landscaping and other matters surrounding the building are complete and the Club are over the moon that the project has been finally realised.

There were many great club members and donors involved in bringing the project to completion and we will mention them all at the official opening. In the meantime, we hope that all who get to use the facility will use it well and make the most of growing this great game of ours.

The facility can be rented at €35 per lane per hour or all three lanes at €75 per hour. A bowling machine can also be rented at €5 per hour. 

The centre will also play host to 3x fielding masterclasses with @athleticfielding (Athletic Fielding) on the 5th of April and would love to see you there.
