Railway Union have announced the signing of South African Lolit Sesele as their Director of Youth Cricket, and also confirmed that Irish youth international Gethin Kelleher is joining from Terenure.

Sesele started his professional career with Free State, moving later to Boland and Cape Cobras.

He also featured for the Knights and played as an overseas professional for clubs in both the UK and The Netherlands.

Lolit moved into coaching in 2019 in Bloemfontein with the Itec Knights and is currently assistant coach there, holding a Level Four qualification.

Railway Union said in a statement: "By working with all age groups (boys and girls), youth members will receive quality coaching sessions from someone who has significant experience running a youth coaching program.

"This investment in our youth program, aligned with the new indoor practice facilities at the club shows our commitment to attracting and developing our youth cricketers."

In other news, the highly rated Gethin Kelleher is coming to Park Avenue for the 2025 season, becoming the latest departure from Terenure.

That follows Seamus Lynch switching to Clontarf, with Raghav Grover also close to a move to a Premiership side.

With Terenure playing in the five-team second tier, it's become obvious that their top players prefer to be in the new 12-team top tier.
