The first match of the latest CWC League 2 tri-series in Windhoek, Namibia has been abandoned without a ball being bowled.

A toss did take place, with Canada's Yuvraj Samra and Netherlands' Zach Lion-Cachet both earning a maiden ODI appearance. Whilst the rain did let up, the wet outfield meant that play was unable to commence.

Netherlands will hope to get back on the field on Friday when they take on hosts Namibia, with Canada playing Namibia on Sunday.
