The venue may have moved from Al-Amerat in Oman to the Wanderers Ground in the Namibian capital Windhoek, but the run of low scoring games in Cricket World Cup League 2 has continued with Netherlands beating the home side in a game that saw a total of just 265 runs.

Namibian captain Gerhard Erasmus won the toss and asked the Dutch to bat first. Vikramjit Singh and Max O'Dowd added 84 for the opening wicket before Singh was dismissed for 37. O'Dowd was out for 43 in the next over as the visitors collapsed from 84-0 to 99-6.

Number 7 Teja Nidamanuru scored 47 but his was the only other score in double figures for the Netherlands. Bernard Scholtz was the pick of the Namibian bowlers with 4-15 as the Dutch were bowled out for 159.

Despite their low target and home advantage, Namibia were unable to secure victory. Aryan Dutt (3-28) and Zach Lion-Cachet (3-15) were the leading bowlers for the Netherlands as they bowled Namibia out for just 106, the visitors winning by 53 runs.

The home side will be back in action on Sunday when they take on Canada, with Netherlands playing the Canadians on Tuesday.
