The Falkland Islands have returned to international cricket for their first matches since 2011 with a six match T20I series in Costa Rica this past week.
The series began on Monday with Costa Rica scoring 94 before bowling the visitors out for just 28 with only one batter reaching double figures. Andrew Brownlee - who batted at ten for the tourists and didn't bowl - became the oldest men's international cricketer at the age of 62.
Two games were played on Tuesday with the hosts winning both, the first by 62 runs thanks to 55 from 40 balls by Gaurav Singhdeo and the second by 92 runs wiith Deepak Rawat scoring an unbeaten 62.
Two more games were played on Wednesday with the Falklands picking up their first ever win in international cricket. Batting first they scored 114-8, Philip Stroud scoring 51, before bowling the hosts out for 85 to win by 29 runs. Normal service was resumed in the fifth game of the series, with the visitors bowled out for 53 and Costa Rica winning by nine wickets.

The series concluded with the sixth and final game on Thursday. Costa Rica batted first and were bowled out for 102, before the visitors responded with 55-9 from their 20 overs, losing by 47 runs and securing a 5-1 series win for the home side.
