Brigade and Warriors batsman Cameron Melly will be wintering in Australia with Edinburgh, who play in the Victoria League in Melbourne.
The 22-year-old has been one of the mainstays of the Brigade middle-order, helping the Beechgrove to major honours, and and has also played 22 times for the North West Warriors in the interpros, as well as representing the Ireland Academy side.
"I'm obviously buzzing to get out there over the winter," Melly told CricketEurope.
"It’s a fantastic opportunity to develop my game and learn off some pretty talented cricketers," he added.
"Going Down Under gives me a six-month window to develop my game as much as possible in foreign conditions, and was something that I could never turn down."
