After a tough campaign last time out, Balbriggan go into the new season full of optimism, and could well once again be challenging at the very top for major honours.
"2024 was a difficult season for the club with a couple of long term injuries to key players early in the season and with no recognised wicket keeper we found the going tough," said club spokesperson Adrian Harper.
"2025 has got off to a great start off the field with the completion of our state of the art indoor training centre which has been used extensively by our own club members and many players throughout the province.
"On the field we are delighted to welcome back Connor Fletcher from his stint travelling as well as a fully fit skipper in Greg Ford. We also have future Irish hopefuls Jordan and Mattew Hollard in the ranks this season to add to a good crop of players who are looking forward to the new format.
"We have 3/4 players regularly training with Leinster Lightning so we’re hoping the extra practice will stand them in good stead.
"In what looks to be shaping up as a very strong league we hope to be competitive and give a good account of ourselves."
There's no doubt they will certainly do that.
