There may have been a change of venue but it was a familiar tale of woe for Ireland Under 19's as they lost again to Zimbabwe in the fourth match of their youth ODI series.
CSNI all-rounder Adam Leckey scored another half century, top-scoring with 88 from 86 balls (9 fours, 1 six), as he and Seb Dijkstra (62) powered to a fifth wicket stand of 138 in 25 overs that propelled Ireland to a total of 241 for 6.
That had helped them recover from 91 for 4 despite starts for Rob O'Brien (25) and James West (20).
The bowling has lacked penetration and direction throughout the series and that was very much evident again depsite an early breakthrough for Tom Ford.
The hosts got control thanks to a second wicket stand of 83 between opener Leeroy Chimuwala who made 77 (4 fours, 3 sixes) and skipper Simba Mudzengerere (37).
Wickets for James West and Seb Dijkstra looked to have opened the door for Pete Johnston's side with 100 needed from the final 17 overs, but it was quickly slammed shut as Michael Blignaut raced to an unbeaten 60 from 58 balls (7 fours, 1 six) sharing a match defining 5th wicket stand of 81 in 11 overs with Brendon Senzere - who hit a 28-ball 38 (3 fours, 2 sixes).
Senzere was run out towards the end but Zimbabwe clinched the relatively comfortable six-wickets win with 25 balls unused.
Ireland will get a final chance to salvage a consolation win in the fifth game on Saturday.
