CIYMS
Captain: John Matchett
Overseas pro: Hermann Rolfes
Players in: Jake Egan, Alex Armstrong, Ben Snell
Players out: Ross Adair, Allen Coulter, Tyron Koen, Bamanye Xenxe
It's been a busy close season at Belmont with four players saying adios, replaced by four saying hola.
Out are Ross Adair (Lisburn), Allen Coulter (Muckamore). Tyron Koen (North Down) and overseas professional Bamanye Xenxe.
Coming into the club are Jake Egan and Alex Armstrong, Ben Snell and overseas pro Hermann Rolfes, who is a 25-year-old South African all-rounder.
After a modest 2024 season by their high standards, skipper John Matchett is looking for better fortunes this year.
"Everyone at CIYMS are really excited for the up and coming season," said Matchett. "Having lost a couple of players, we have made some really exciting signings in Jake Egan, Alex Armstrong and Ben Snell, as well as bringing Hermann Rolfes in as our overseas professional, who looks to be a real threat with both bat and ball.
"We have also brought Bret Mulder in as coach who has created a really positive and hard working environment in pre-season which we hope to build on come the start of the season.
"It’s a very young and ambitious squad this year and we know that on our day we will be able to beat anyone, so we are confident that we will compete on all fronts."
