WOODVALE
Captain: Harry Warke
Players in: Finn Restieaux, Aswin Shetty.
Players out: Ronan Restieaux, Aditya Adey, Paul Robinson.
Woodvale were certainly very competitive in 2024 and pushed eventual champions Waringstown all the way in the Premiership title race, as well as reaching the semi-finals of both the T20 and the Challenge Cups.
They had the Player of the Year in Ruhan Pretorius who enjoyed a superb all-round campaign.
The Ballygomartin side have retained the bulk of their squad for the 2025 campaign, but they have the lost the services of Aditya Adey who had initially opted to move to North Down before settling in Australia. Ronan Restieaux has also decided to resume his studies in New Zealand, while Paul Robinson is taking a backwards step in terms of his playing commitments this year.
Captain Harry Warke is optimistic about the new season, having been disappointed to just miss out on silverware last year.
"In terms of players in we have Finn Restieaux, the older of brother of Ronan coming over," said Warke.
"We also have Ashwin Shetty joining us from Carrick so hopefully those two will help replace the contributions of the players we have lost, and strengthen us even further.
"The club are really looking forward to getting stuck into the season and seeing how it goes."
