Strabane Academy are the first side through to the quarter-finals, while Limavady will have the chance to join them after they beat Armagh to set up an all-NW clash against Foyle College.

Strabane were in trouble twice against last season's finalists Ballyclare, but a battling effort first with the bat - runs for Ryan McCauley and Mark Robinson, got them to 122 for 9 - extras the top scorer with 31.

Jude Wilson (3-21) and Evan Carlisle (2-16) best with the ball.

The chase looked like being a routine one as Cooper Donnell hit two sixes in a quick 30 to get them to 70 for 2 just past the halfway stage.

Robinson (3-21) and Cameron McClay (2-17) led the fightback as Ballyclare finished 12 runs adrift.

Limavady won their first round match beating Armagh by 22 runs.

Runs for Ross Bond (37), Alexander Howe (36*) and Ryan Lamrock (24) saw them post 126 for 5.

Three wickets for Cameron Smith (3-13) helped them defend it, restricting them to 104 for 4.
