The home side would have been worried at another modest total, but their bowlers came to the party as Ryan Nolan (3-20) and skipper Alan Johnson (2-22) made early inroads, before Mills ran through the middle and lower order to claim 4 for 17 and the welcome points.

St Johnston survived a late wobble with the finishing line in sight as they beat Burndennett by four wickets to make it two wins from two in the Championship. A fine bowling display had restricted Burndennett to 111 despite early runs for Andy Barr (31) and Niall McDonnell.
