Mollie Devine took five wickets as Fox Lodge beat Eglinton, while Bready accounted for Strabane, and Bonds Glen caused a minor surprise as they defeated Coleraine.
Fox Lodge started the defence of their North West Women's premiership crown with an emphatic 10 wickets win at Eglinton. Mollie Devine took five wickets as the villagers were bowled out for 59, with Arianna McKenna making 21 of those. Lucy Neely scored 28 not out, sharing an unbroken opening partnership of 60 in nine overs with Sarah Black, who made an unbeaten 23 in the convincing win.
Bready were almost as dominant as they beat Strabane by 9 wickets. Chloe Deans made 17 as Strabane were bowled out for 89 - two wickets apiece for Tiara Mitchell and Kaylee Barnard. Millie Spence hit six boundaries in her 46 not out, sharing an opening stand of 83 with Irish international Alana Dalzell, who scored 33.
Bonds Glen caused a surprise as they beat Coleraine by 7 wickets. The Bannsiders scored 119 for 7 with Irish international Kia McCartney making 33, sharing a half century stand with Connie Block, who scored 30.
The Bee Gees were always in control of the chase as Leah Thompson hit 43 not out, well supported by Lucy Thompson who scored 28, and Jessica Cooke - 20 not out - in a seven wickets win.
