There will be a familiar face in the West Indies coaching staff during their six-match series against Ireland which gets underway later this month.
Kevin O'Brien, Ireland's second most capped player with 389 appearances will be in the opposition camp for the games at Clontarf and Bready.
The West Indies Head Coach Darren Sammy is a close friend of the 41-year-old and had no hesitation into tapping into the wealth of local knowledge of O'Brien who played in Ireland's three 50-overs World Cups during a glittering 15-year career in the green of Ireland.
While it seems to have been very much a case of a prophet not being recognised in his home town for O'Brien when it comes to coaching opportunities with Ireland, he has been coaching internationally with Italy.
The chance to showcase his talent with the West Indies is certainly a role he is very much looking forward to getting his teeth into.
"It's a great opportunity for me as a Coach to work with the West Indies side," said O'Brien. "It's going to be a chance to develop my coaching working with an international side.
"It will be fantastic to work alongside Darren Sammy whom I've known since 2004 when we were part of the MCC Young Cricketers.
"He's got a lot of experience in the world game, being a double World Cup winning captain. I think he's also won the PSL as a player as well. He's a very good friend of mine so it will be great to work with him and see how he does things from a coaching side.
"Ravi Rampaul is part of their staff as well as Floyd Reifer who is the batting coach, so there's a lot of experience there in the West Indies coaching group whose brains I can pick and bring to my own coaching style. I'm also looking forward to working with their squad which has in captain Shai Hope one of the best international cricketers around.
"I'm expecting it to be a close series with two evenly matched teams. I'm hoping my local experiences of the grounds at Clontarf and Bready will help add a little bit to the West Indies squad. I'm looking forward to getting stuck in next week."
Ireland take on the West Indies at Clontarf in three ODI's on May 21, 23 and 25. Their three T20I's are at Bready on June 12, 14 and 15.
