Typhoons broke their duck in the SS20 by winning the final match of the competition, beating Scorchers by eight wickets with five balls to spare.
Their chase was always under control after Rebecca Stokell and Sarah Forbes put on 44 for the first wicket in five overs.
Leah Paul then joined Forbes to add 61 for the second wicket in seven overs and Laura Delany stayed with Paul who finished 55 not out from 33 balls with nine fours.
The Ireland international all-rounder was also the only Typhoons bowler to take more than one wicket as Scorchers totalled 161 for six, boosted by Ava Canning’s unbeaten 30 from just 18 balls.
Eimear Richardson top scored with 54 from 45 balls before she was out hit wicket, the rare occurrence happening for the second time in two days in this competition.
On a weekend for the batters, Scorchers lost 16 wickets, while Dragons lost seven and Typhoons only six.
